Monster Mash

For years my Grandmother threw a rockin' Halloween party with games and prizes for our whole family.  It was such a fun tradition, and my favorite part was her attention to the little details that made it a hoot.  She never failed to place a carved orange with a jack-o-lantern face at everyone's seat, serve a full course meal, and then pull out all the stops from musical coffins to whacky white elephant gifts.   We loved it, and we love her, though at 80 she's ready to pass the tradition off to someone else...

In honor of my cool Grandma, Ashley and I have put our heads together on some great Halloween party ideas.  Don't be alarmed- Ashley did all the baking.

We have some monster cupcakes, a link to our sugar cookie recipe, and a fun way to use up some of that extra Halloween candy:  it makes a great cookie mix-in or cupcake topper.  Instructions for those are linked below as well.  Turn up the monster mash, prepare some fun games, and love that party!
